Reading this article was an eye-opener for me– I didn’t know that an improperly extinguished campfire in the fall could cause a wildfire in the spring! This is from a paper in Alberta, Canada, but physics is physics everywhere, so it’s worth remembering that “We really mean it when we say β€˜it’s not out until you can touch it!’”
