Ok, having read this, my dream camping tour of the UK  (including wild camping, so we could enjoy the occasional campfire!) has spilled over onto the Continent. Might as well dream big, right? This post apparently included photos, but none are visible, so here are some I pulled from the web (not that I had any trouble envisioning the whole thing by myself):

This kind of family tent camping would definately not be roughing it; more like car camping at a KOA with a palace on the grounds, which I think sounds like a perfect mini-vacation from more primitive camping (though I have no idea if there is such a beast in France– need to do more research to flesh out my dreams!).
